Join us for a guided walking tour viewing the exteriors of buildings in
the Richland Center Residential Historic District and the center of town in
the Court Street Commercial Historic District (NRHP 1989). Buildings dating from as early as the mid-1850’s and 1860’s still remain in the city. Richland Center has a long history of interesting citizens including the prominent architect Frank Lloyd Wright and Ada James, well known suffragist and reformer. Frank Lloyd Wright was born here in 1867 and designed the German Warehouse (NRHP 1974) built between 1917 and 1921 for local businessman A.D. German.
Donations support the Richland County Chapter – Wisconsin Alumni Association scholarship fund for area High School Seniors attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
